RESERVATION PAYMENT & LATE BOOKINGS
After confirmation of your reservation, full payment will be required. Prices are quoted at the ruling daily exchange. Until Rosebank Travel Service (Pty) Ltd (hereafter referred to as RTS) has received full payment, we reserve the right to charge any variations to the passenger’s account. RTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation in respect of which payment is not made timeously. The onus will be on the passengers to check that there have been no changes in price prior to making a final payment. Airfares are subject to the prices and conditions quoted by the airlines and cannot be guaranteed by RTS. Should RTS make use of a courier service, the cost will be for the passenger’s account. In the event of any reservation being completed less than 30days prior to the date of departure, RTS shall be entitled to levy a late reservation fee. An amendment fee to cover communication expenses will be levied for any changes to the confirmed itinerary.
CANCELLATION
In the event of passengers cancelling their reservation, RTS shall claim the relevant non-refundable deposit and shall have the right to further funds as per scale of cancellation fees set out below, said charges to compensate for any and all claims on RTS. In accordance with the policies adopted internationally, RTS reserves the right to cancel any tour before departure, in which event the entire payment will be refunded without any further obligations on the part of the Company. The following cancellation fees may be imposed, and unless otherwise stipulated, are:

INSURANCE
Insurance against cancellation, illness, loss of baggage and terrorism is highly recommended for all passengers travelling abroad with RTS. Passengers are responsible for their own insurance, and RTS will not be liable if anyone should fail to take adequate insurance cover.
PASSPORTS, VISAS, VACCINATIONS & INOCULATIONS
The responsibility to obtain proper, current and valid passports, visas, vaccinations, inoculations and the like, where required, is that of the customer alone and the company shall not be responsible or liable for any consequence of any nature arising from the customer failing to ensure that he/she has complied with all such requirements.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Documents (vouchers, itineraries, etc) are only prepared on receipt of full and final payment, currency declarations and signed conditions of contract.
AMENDMENTS
No waiver, indulgence or amendment hereto shall be binding on RTS unless reduced to writing and signed on behalf of RTS by one of its directors.
RESPONSIBILITY
All tours are booked on the express conditions that RTS, their servants and agents, shall not be responsible for, and shall be exempt from, all liability in respect of any loss, damage, accident, delay or inconvenience to any person, or his or her luggage, or other property, wherever and howsoever the same may occur.
Rosebank Travel Service (Pty) Ltd, their servants and agents, shall further not be liable for any consequential loss or damage whatsoever. RTS’s agents have the authority to claim the cost of repair for any damages caused by the client to any property. Any IATA carrier is not to be held responsible for any act or omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard the aircraft or conveyance. The carrier’s liability for acts, events and omissions, which occur during the carriage by air, is governed by applicable laws and regulations and by the conditions appearing on the carrier’s tickets. Please note that all air tickets issued on your behalf shall constitute the sole contract between yourself and the airline. It shall be the responsibility of the passenger to reconfirm all flights at least 72 hours prior to departure and to check the timing of departures with the airline in case there has been an unscheduled change and RTS have been unable to contact the passenger.
RTS act as agents only for our airlines and ground operators and accordingly accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage which any passenger may suffer as a result of the failure of any such principals to fulfil their obligations whether in relation to travel arrangements, accommodation or otherwise howsoever.
UNSCHEDULED EXTENSIONS / BREAKAWAYS
In the unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension caused by flight delays, bad weather, strikes or any other cause which is beyond the control of RTS, it is understood that the expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions (hotel accommodation, etc) will be for the account of the passenger. While it is possible to break away from planned itineraries, it is understood that extra expenses incurred as a result of such a breakaway will be for the passenger’s account and any unused service will not be refunded.
JURISDICTION OF THE MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Rosebank Travel Service (Pty) Ltd shall be entitled at its option to institute any legal proceedings arising out of or in conjunction with this contract in any Magistrate’s Court having jurisdiction in terms of Section 29 of the Magistrate’s Court Act No 32/1944 as amended, notwithstanding that the amount in issue may exceed the limits of such jurisdiction.
TRAVEL DECLARATIONS
As authorised representative of the S.A. Reserve Bank, RTS require that all foreign payments that are made by them on behalf of passengers must be deducted from the passenger’s foreign exchange allowance. A currency exchange declaration to this effect must be lodged with RTS before final documents can be released.
TERMS OF PAYMENT and LEGAL FEES
Our terms are strictly payment on receipt of statement and in any event not later than the 15th of the month following the debit. I/We agree that interest at 2% above current prime bank overdraft rates will automatically be applied to my/our account on all overdue accounts. In the event of non-adherence to our terms and RTS being compelled to resort to legal action, I/we agree to be liable for all legal costs calculated on the scale as between attorney and own client including all collectable commission.

RTS is a registered member of ASATA’s Retail Division and a full member of IATA and Exel Travel.
